Advertising / Media Sales Representatives

Job Summary

We are looking for motivated individuals whose primary role will be selling media ‘space’ to advertisers/prospecting for and securing ad sales for the magazine. You will also be responsible for pitching benefits of advertising to clients and negotiating prices. 

Your day-to-day tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Persuading clients to buy advertising space 
  • Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target      organisations and contacting them 
  • Explaining the benefits of our medium, using statistics on      readership or viewing figures 
  • Offering a price and negotiating around it 
  • Closing the deal and recording the details
  • Visit businesses to inquire about advertising sales.
  • Build relationships with clients.
  • Keep abreast of changes within the publication's demographics.
  • Perform extensive research on clients, competitors and on trend      analysis.
  • Focus on growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
  • Make sales presentations.
  • Generate and describe creative, results-focused marketing concepts      to a diverse client base.
  • Handle incoming inquiries to buy ad space.
  • Walk door-to-door and solicit business.
